Katie & Paul
Katie & Paul had an incredibly epic wedding weekend, full of all of the fun, joy and personal touches! With Katie being from the Hill Country, the couple wanted to have the back home feel, while not being in Katie’s backyard. The chose Omni Barton Creek Resort as the backdrop for their wedding, and it was the ultimate weekend!
The weekend started at The Commodore Perry Estate for the couples rehearsal dinner and welcome party. When a rain storm came through right as the evening was beginning, it created a memorable story for cocktail hour and dinner, as guests mingled and enjoyed cocktails and a delicious meal. Friend and family then got up and toasted the couple with funny stories and anecdotes about the pair. The night continued with dancing, led by the James Speer trio, and boy did they dance the night away!
On the wedding day, Katie and her crew got ready in a suite at Omni Barton Creek, giving a homey, comfortable feel to their morning. Katie got dressed and revealed her beautiful ceremony dress to her group and let’s just say there were a few tears! Katie also had a touching first reveal with her dad and brothers, and then it was time to see Paul! Paul’s reaction is truly one of my favorites I’ve witnessed, just check out the video! The ceremony was full of giggles and laughter before guests headed down to cocktail hour to enjoy bites and drinks. We then headed into the beautiful Pavilion space for dinner and dancing, which was quite the party!
There were so many special moments throughout the evening, from even more tear jerking toasts, a special moment between the bride and her mother with a song to honor her late grandmother, a packed dance floor full of the couples favorite songs throughout their lives! The night didn’t end there though. We took guests back upstairs for dueling piano’s to cap off the night (fueled by Espresso Martinis)! Katie & Paul (among others) got up and took the mic to entertain the crowd, and when I say it was epic, just trust me. Katie flawlessly sang Defying Gravity and brought the whole house down!
