Annabelle & Brian
Annabelle & Brian’s wedding was such a special weekend full of so many amazing moments! The couple got married at The Retreat at Balcones Springs, a place where Annabelle quite literally grew up, as her mother owns the property. Not only did both Annabelle & Brian attend summer camp there while growing up, Annabelle has spent many family holidays among the grounds as well. The two also grew up going to school together, but it wasn’t until they reconnected in New York City years later, that they went on their first date!
Because Annabelle has seen so many weddings on property throughout the years, she knew she wanted to use a unique spot for a portion of the weekend that she hadn’t seen before! Thus, their rehearsal dinner took place on the Archery Range! The evening was full of a family style dinner with recipes that have been favorites of the couple and their families, the most heartfelt and hilarious speeches I’ve heard and just an all around joy radiating from everyone in attendance.
The wedding day involved activities throughout camp such a the Zip Line, kayaking, paddle boarding and a mandatory 3 Ball game that is a camp classic! Annabelle got ready in her moms cabin on property; a place she has grown up in as a second home. The couple said their vows among the oak trees with all of their friends and family in attendance, and departed with a rose petal toss and enjoyed a drive around property in the families restored convertible.
Guests sipped frozen gin and tonics and Christine’s Famous Margarita while enjoying springtime bites and a jazz trio. Everyone transitioned down to the Meadow for dinner, where tables adorned with unique vases full of Texas grown flowers and custom stitched napkins with their names on them waited to show them their seats. A small little rain shower might have passed through halfway through dinner, but everyone was able to laugh it off and make some fun out the situation! Guests danced the night away with a live band, and then transitioned to Leo’s Late Night- the afterparty full of wigs, disco balls and a DJ to keep the party going!
It was an absolutely magical weekend full of the couples favorite things in their favorite place! Cheers to Annabelle & Brian!
