CALLAN & CHRIS

Callan and Chris’s wedding was truly one to remember! The couple knew they wanted to play into the Spring garden vibes with lots of pastel colors to liven up their reception space, a delicious meal for guests to enjoy and converse over, and an epic dance party to follow.

With nods to both Texas where Callan is from and where the couple met and live, and New York where Chris is from, the couple made the wedding day truly themselves involving their favorite drinks, food and of course, their adorable pup, Archer. We played around with different colors and textures, and involved the different colors in their palette through different patterned napkins, water goblets and ribbons to mark meal selections for each of their guests.

Music was also a big part of their evening, which set the tone for each different aspect of the night. The ceremony was accompanied by a string quartet as family and wedding party walked down the aisle. The couple incorporated their favorite band, Blink 182 into their ceremony, walking down the aisle to “All the Small Things” and “First Date”, and walked back up the aisle as husband and wife to “Accidentally In Love” by Counting Crows. During Cocktail Hour, guests mingled as they listened to the beautiful arrangements of Mikaela Kahn, which continued as the background for dinner conversations. Once it was time to hit the dance floor, DJ Jamin took over and got the party started!

The couple incorporated their previous pup Archer, not only through his special “bar” and having his face on cocktail napkins, but also having him present for the ceremony, where he was the goodest boy, watching his humans become husband and wife. Chris chose a local beer from his hometown to serve, had cookies flown in from a local bakery that he loved growing up, and they served Whataburger as late night snack for their guests to enjoy a local Texas favorite.

It was a magical evening, and I was so honored to be a part of their special story! Congratulations, Callan & Chris!
